Dr Laura Miller graduated from La Trobe University in Bendigo with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Masters in Dentistry. Being a local to Bendigo, she continued to work as a General Dentist in regional Victoria for five years in private practice and as an educator at La Trobe. In 2023 she felt like a change and worked as a locum dentist at various locations across Australia while living and travelling in a motorhome. During this journey the Coffs Coast won her heart with a winter twice as warm as Victorian temperatures and she has now returned to make Coffs Harbour home.
Laura has a gentle approach and likes to ensure her patients have an enjoyable experience, especially when coming to the dentist has been a negative in the past. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry including root canal therapy, restorative care, crown and bridge, complex extractions and periodontal therapy. She has a special interest in orthodontics and can provide Invisalign or fixed braces.
Laura has a strong focus on evidence based practice and has completed many hours of further education including a fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons.
Outside of work she can be found walking her two dogs and partner Brendan at North Wall Beach or trying to find the best local cafes and restaurants. Not especially gifted at ball sports she keeps active at the gym, swimming, snowboarding, hikes in the rainforest and has recently started dabbling in short distance triathlons thanks to some persuasion from Dr Roberts.
